WHY USE NMDA OVER DAA?
As you are all aware DAA has been shown to be safe in dosages ranging up to 3 grams daily with no reported ill effects in humans! The testosterone increasing effect is around 42%+ and LH levels were increased by 33%+. Now 3 grams daily is a lot to fit into capsules. This is where NMDA comes into its own as it has been discovered that (100X's) lower dose of NMDA is required to elicit the same GH, Testosterone and LH release in animal models when compared to pure DAA. Both of them work, just NMDA is more potent. So this suggests it would require only 30mg of NMDA to induce the same hormone increasing effects as using 3 grams of DAA.

Occurrence of D-aspartic acid and N-methyl-D-aspartic acid in rat neuroendocrine tissues and their role in the modulation of luteinizing hormone and growth hormone release.

Using two specific and sensitive fluorometric/HPLC methods and a GC-MS method, alone and in combination with D-aspartate oxidase, we have demonstrated for the first time that N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA), in addition to D-aspartate (D-Asp), is endogenously present as a natural molecule in rat nervous system and endocrine glands. Both of these amino acids are mostly concentrated at nmol/g levels in the adenohypophysis, hypothalamus, brain, and testis. The adenohypophysis maximally showed the ability to accumulate D-Asp when the latter is exogenously administered. In vivo experiments, consisting of the i.p. injection of D-Asp, showed that D-Asp induced both growth hormone and luteinizing hormone (LH) release. However, in vitro experiments showed that D-Asp was able to induce LH release from adenohypophysis only when this gland was co-incubated with the hypothalamus. This is because D-Asp also induces the release of GnRH from the hypothalamus, which in turn is directly responsible for the D-Asp-induced LH secretion from the pituitary gland. Compared to D-Asp, NMDA elicits its hormone release action at concentrations approximately 100-fold lower than D-Asp. D-AP5, a specific NMDA receptor antagonist, inhibited D-Asp and NMDA hormonal activity, demonstrating that these actions are mediated by NMDA receptors.

Below is a flowchart showing the Hormone inducing pathway after ingestion of NMDA, this can be said for DAA also but as NMDA is 100X more potent this will be used for reference.

Fig - 1 is a flowchart that illustrates how NMDA acts as a hormonal activator for the Hypothalamus, Pituitary gland and the Testis. This is known as the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular axis (HPTA) and comprises three areas:

Hypothalamus: This is the master gland in the brain involved in appetite, thermoregulation and output of a vast amount of hormones. In particular it releases gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnHR) and growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) which controls the pituitary's release of gonadotrophins and growth hormone.

Pituitary Gland: This is workhorse of the hypothalamus. It releases the gonadotrophins, which include luteinizing hormone (LH) as well as growth hormone (GH) as well as several over hormones.

Gonads: The testes release testosterone, which as you know is one of the body's major growth hormones.

Studies have also shown that NMDA can help enhance erections so this should interest you guys out there.

The effect of 10 peptides structurally related to the growth hormone (GH) releasing peptide hexarelin, injected into the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN), on penile erection was studied in male rats. Six out of the 10 peptides tested induced penile erection in a dose-dependent manner. Among them, the most potent were EP 80661, EP 60761 and EP 91072, which were active at doses of 20-200 ng. The potency of these peptides in inducing penile erection is comparable to that of apomorphine, oxytocin and N-methyl-D-aspartic acid similarly injected into the PVN. Other peptides found active were EP 50885, EP 90101 and EP 91071, which induced penile erection at doses of 200-2000 ng. In contrast, EP 51322, EP 70555, EP 51216 and EP 91073 were inactive, as were hexarelin, EP 40904 and EP 40737 in a previous study. The majority of EP peptides found active when injected into the PVN induced penile erection, although to a lesser extent, also when given systemically (endovenously). The proerectile effect of EP peptides was prevented by the oxytocin receptor antagonist [d(CH2)5 Tyr(Me)2-Orn8]-vasotocin given into the lateral ventricles but not into the PVN, by the nitric oxide (NO) synthase inhibitor N(G)-nitro-1-arginine methyl ester given either into the lateral ventricles or into the PVN, by the N-type Ca2+ channel blocker omega-conotoxin GVIA and by morphine, but not by the dopamine receptor antagonist cis-flupenthixol or by the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor antagonist dizolcipine, given into the PVN. As the structure-activity relationship of EP peptides for proerectile activity is different from those of other biological actions of these compounds, ie for GH release and eating behaviour, the present results suggest that EP peptides induce penile erection by acting on specific hypothalamic receptor sites that activate paraventricular oxytocinergic neurons projecting to extrahypothalamic brain areas that mediate this sexual function by a mechanism similar to that of dopamine receptor agonists, oxytocin and N-methyl-D-aspartic acid.

IN SUMMARY
The addition of NMDA will yield greater hormone increasing effects to our growing BULLK formula. As NMDA is 100x more potent than DAA then the smaller dose of NMDA can be encapsulated within our formula to further enhance results already seen from BULLK and at no extra cost.
