DOPA Mucuna capsules are a mixture of 15% L-DOPA and Mucuna pruriens. L-DOPA is a precursor of Dopamine, a neurotransmitter in the brain’s essential functioning. Dopamine is released by rewarding experiences (i.e. sex, food, social interactions) and is one of the sole factors behind human motivations. Dopamine does tasks other than the previously mentioned such as control nausea, increase arousal, and assist the body in dealing with pain. A lack of dopamine in the brain can cause problems that range from low motivation and social anxiety to difficult pain processing. Mucuna pruriens are a tropical legume known under many names which include the velvet bean, cowitch, and picapica. These beans are found most commonly in Africa, India and the Caribbean. However, in research it’s been found that the Mucuna pruriens increase sexual function because of their dopamine-inducing qualities.
