recover more quickly in preparation for the next exercise session and
improve the conditioning caused by exercise and training. The product
2:1:1 Recovery, contains a combination of carbohydrates and proteins
with three essential branched chain amino acids. It provides the
necessary ingredients for optimal recovery.
Exercise depletes
blood glycogen levels reducing energy available for muscle synthesis and
recovery. Physical activity utilizes energy in the form of glycogen at a
rate faster than can be absorbed through food carbohydrate consumption.
2:1:1 Recovery, has combined the simple sugar, glucose, with sucrose
and fructose to replenish energy stores. Blending three carbohydrate
sources improves rate of absorption supplying the muscles with an
immediate source of energy for protein synthesis. Without an immediate
source of energy, the muscles will resort to a stored energy source,
namely protein.
Physical exercise may cause soreness and pain in
the muscles. This is caused by several factors including minor tearing
of muscle fibers leading to swelling and pain. 2:1:1 Recovery provides
three protein sources, hydrolyzed whey, micellar casein and egg albumin,
for optimal recovery and rebuilding of muscle fibers following
exercise. Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are branched chain amino acids,
BCAA, that work with the protein blend in Recovery, to stimulate
protein synthesis.
2:1:1 Recovery is a powder that is mixed with
any sports drink or milk and is taken immediately after exercise for
maximum absorption. Because 2:1:1 Recovery is a beverage, it also aids
in replacing valuable fluids lost during exercise and increases rate of
